What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way. We use the word "cookies" for all of them on this page.
Our own cookies
The Tek Clad Ltd website does not set any advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics only sets its cookies (such as _ga) if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. Until then Google Analytics does not load at all. See how Google uses cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated attacks and spam. It does not identify you and is not used for tracking. Because it is needed for the website to work securely, it does not require your consent.
When you accept or reject analytics cookies in our cookie banner, we set our own cookie (tekclad_consent) to remember your choice, so we do not ask you again on every page. This cookie is strictly necessary and lasts for one year.
Third-party content
Some pages show content from other companies. When you view that content, those companies may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies.
| Service | Where it is used | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Vimeo | Background video on the homepage and case study pages | Plays our project footage. We load Vimeo with its "do not track" setting switched on, which stops it tracking your viewing. See the Vimeo cookie policy. |
| Google Maps | Map on the Contact page | Shows where our office is. The map only loads when you click "Show map". Google may then set cookies to remember your preferences and measure use of the map. See how Google uses cookies. |
| Enquiry forms | Contact page and the "Request a survey" forms across the site | Sends your enquiry to our team. The forms are provided by our customer relationship management system, hosted at link.edirect.uk, which may set cookies needed for the form to work and to prevent spam. |
Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies only. If you block cookies, the website will still work, although embedded videos or the map may not display.
For more on how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
